One of my favorite features from Preview, which is "new from clipboard" is now perfectly implemented in PDF Expert. It also reliably selects columns of text, which is something that Mac Preview used to do. For instance, PDF Expert allows me to hand-write on pdf files, something that is basically impossible on Mac Preview. PDF Expert has taken up the mantle and does what Mac Preview used to do, and sometimes more.
I used to love Mac Preview for dealing with pdf files, but over the last number of years it has seemingly been abandoned. I highly recommend it as a complete pdf document solution.
Over time I have discovered that PDF Expert has many other well implemented useful features. PDF Expert allows me to hand mark their homework with a graphics tablet. I needed it because I have students hand in their scanned homework in pdf files.
